This is one of the projects that I hold closest to my heart was the creation of an illustrated book for the children’s ward of Hospital Angelina Caron, in Paraná, Brazil. The book was developed especially for young patients undergoing cancer treatment, with the goal of bringing hope, courage, and a sense of wonder during such a difficult journey. The story follows a young boy receiving treatment at the hospital, who is guided and supported by a duo of superheroes powered by a “super serum”. Through their adventures, the narrative highlights strength, resilience, and friendship, while giving children a chance to see themselves as heroes of their own story. This project was not only about illustration, but about creating an emotional bridge between imagination and healing, showing the power that storytelling and visual art can have in providing comfort and inspiration.
